For Self-Portrait Challenge. This month's theme is "with someone".

I took my pictures with the person that I spend the most time with:

My daughter, Analise and I. This was on a day when we had spent the entire afternoon reading and painting together. Often, we don't get to do that. I get overwhelmed by school or housework and it takes Analise to remind me to enjoy life, to take a moment to stop and breath, to find that kid in me and let it come out and play. More than that, after she came into my life, I completely reinvented myself. I stepped out of a life of abuse and addiction and realized that I wanted more for her and for myself because of her. I have never loved someone so completely and without strings attached as I do that little green-eyed kiddo. The fact that she came from me often takes my breath away - and at other times she looks and acts so much like myself that I can't help but shake my head and tsk tsk. I know that most mothers feel this way. Mine never did. These feelings were something I had never witnessed and had no idea how to handle. I'm making it up as I go along. With a little (quite a bit) of help from her, of course.

I realize that quite a few people are doing pictures with their children but I couldn't resist. She truly is the person that matters the most in my life. And if you can't tell by the pictures, I think she's equally in love with me.
